PROCESS OF DELIVERY

PGD achieve a successful incorporation of building services within the total project by the application of a structured approach that ensures the client is involved and contributing throughout all stages of the project, and that all individual issues are discussed, understood, and approved prior to implementation.

Essentially this is achieved though the process of:

  1. Discussions with client relative to specific requirements and services options.
  2. Documentation of a services brief for approval by client
  3. The preparation of preliminary documentation (based on the services brief) for client approval.
  4. Tender documentation
  5. Tender analysis and recommendation
  6. Contract administration
  7. Practical completion inspection and report

Having established this process (and the appropriate communication channels) a commitment to the documentation of all "information transfer" is provided to ensure that all parties have acknowledged issues discussed and formally approved any decision taken throughout the various stages of the project.

This documentation of information transfer (undertaken by PGD Consulting) involves the written confirmation of:

  •   Client telephone discussions
  •   Client design meetings (minutes)
  •   Client site meetings

PGD Consulting is an advocate of weekly design team/client meetings throughout the design and contract administration phases of the project. We believe that the meetings provide a structure and formalisation to the:

  •   Documentation of information transfer as detailed above
  •   Team communication
  •   Co-ordination of disciplines
  •   Provision of cost options and considerations
  •   Process of ensuring client participation in decision making
